ドン ペリニヨン ロゼ 2008 ヴィンテージは、好天に恵まれ続けた10年の一部をなしています。この10年のさなかにありながら、2008年は異色の年でした。春と夏はどんよりと雲に覆われた日が多く、気温が低いばかりか日照も不足していました。2000年、2006年、あるいは象徴的な1996年のヴィンテージと同じく9月の晴天と風で状況が好転し、葡萄の熟成度はあらゆる予想をはるかに超え、未だかつてない高い水準のバランスのとれたワインとなったのです。香り：ラズベリーと野生のイチゴを思わせるブーケがたちまち広がり、アイリスやスミレのパウダリーなノートがすぐにフルーツと混ざり合って渾然一体となります。息を吸い込むと、モクセイ科のイボタノキ、アンジェリカ、クスノキの葉のようなグリーンのニュアンスが湧きあがります。味わい：鮮明な感覚が最初に訪れます。たっぷりと厚みがあり、シルクのように滑らかです。これらの感覚が徐々に広がっていき、しっかりとした味わいになります。ヴィンテージを特徴づける酸味がピノの骨格と一体化し、このワインの真髄となって、牡丹と白コショウの印象的な芳香とともに長い余韻を残します。
